The evidence is clear, strong leadership in healthcare leads to better outcomes for patients and our communities and a culture of respect and retention for the health workforce. This applies to everyone, for all professions, and across the continuum . There are gold standard and best practice approaches to leadership development for individuals and at the organizational level that drive optimal skills and collaboration. For professions who may not traditionally think of themselves as part of “leadership”, this may come as a revelation. Leadership in health care is for everyone – yes that means you.
