As the demand for and value of data increases, and as it becomes easier to share and retrieve information, it’s more important than ever to explore how it can and cannot be leveraged for secondary purposes. This PPB explores various facets of the secondary uses of data, including the need to redefine ‘ownership,’ the status of data in the context of a legal record, the de-identification of data, and the rights of the individual the data is about.
