Workflow analysis and design are critical factors in the successful implementation of EHR system, but too often aren't considered until after the process has begun. This PPB explores why workflow analysis is important, looks at techniques and key process enablers, and discusses how HIM professionals are well positioned to perform the analysis to support the smooth implementation of EHR systems.
