Pregnancy & Infant Loss Network

When a family experiences pregnancy and infant loss, they will often look to their healthcare provider for guidance, support, and information. These non clinical interactions could include important details about the loss, assessments of the family’s emotional state, and information about grief supports or other referrals made. These conversations can be difficult for providers to have, and difficult for families to remember. In this session, we will discuss how to document these conversations and interactions in a sensitive way that would be helpful for a family to read at a later date should they access their health records, and inform process improvement as it pertains to bereavement care and support.
